Dr. Katherine S. Slocum is a native of Butte, who grew up surrounded by dentistry and medicine. She spent many hours working with her father, an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. With the amount of time in and around the dental field, she knew she wanted to be a dentist. Katie completed her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science, Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Montana State University. She furthered her education at Creighton University School of Dentistry from 2005 to 2009, completing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Katie moved back to Butte and worked at the Butte Community Health Center from 2009-2011. During her time working in Butte, Dr. Slocum became interested in hospital dentistry. She maintains privileges at both St. James Health Care and the Community Hospital of Anaconda where she treats patient’s dental needs with medical/surgical support. She is the only general dentist in SW Montana to provide this treatment.

Dr. Tony Bartoletti was a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi Africa from 2005 to 2008 and is where I decided to pursue dentistry. It was a time in life which afforded much contemplation. No doubt the decision was influenced from my father and the legacy that grandpa Doc, Mike, Tommy, JP (Sister) upheld.After dental school in Arizona I decided to become licensed and practice in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I discovered BC hitchhiking from Alaska back home to MT in 2002. It captivated me like no place else I had ever been. It took many years but eventually I got to spend five years practicing dentistry in Invermere in the Colombia valley.
