Barton joined Lakewood Family Dental in July of 2013.He grew up in Bastrop, Louisiana and attended Bastrop High School where he was honored to graduate in 2002 with a 4.0 GPA and as Valedictorian of his class. LA Tech University awarded him with a Bachelors of Animal Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2006 with a 3.9 GPA. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry graduating in the top 5 of his class with a 3.97 GPA. Dr. Barton was honored with the Dean’s Award for his performance in Didactic and Clinical Achievement. The Robert F. Eastman Memorial Award was given to him for excellence in Operative Dentistry/Biomaterials. At graduation he also received a certificate of recognition from the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration for Excellence and Academic Achievement during dental education in Dental Practice Administration. Dr. Barton was inducted into Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Dental Society while at LSU. He received a scholarship to attend the Dawson Academy for training after graduation.
