While serving in the Army, he earned the Expert Field Medic Badge and two Army Commendation Medals.He then continued his education at Temple University School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduation, he began practicing in Syracuse, NY before moving back to his hometown of Western New York.
