Dr. Schulz graduated from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry and has been practicing dentistry since 1986. With an emphasis on comprehensive care that honors the connection between oral health, the body’s overall health, and a person’s well- being, he provides dental care that enhances his patients’ quality of life. In regards to his extensive dental training, he spent fifteen years in a study club that was run by a well-known prosthodontist. This program covered the prosthodontic program from the USAF prosthodontic residency, Wilford Hall, at Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio. Additionally, Dr. Schulz has been a member of several study clubs including Spear Study Club courses and was in the Seattle Study Club for thirteen years. He is the president of the Academy of Operative Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Southeastern Colorado Dental Society, Academy of Operative Dentistry, International Academy of Gnathology, and the very selective Academy of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Schulz’s publications include an article entitled Modern application of the Skinner vertical movement stress breaker for distal extension removable partial dental prostheses in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry Dr. Schulz has studied and mentored under many dental professionals around the world and is part of a greater dental community, both nationally and internationally. His work in the community includes participating as a dental provider for the Colorado Mission of Mercy, as a group leader in his church group, and as a youth soccer coach.
