How to Attract Quality Professionals in Dentistry: “Google It”

Through: Katie Klaes

Once a company’s name becomes a verb, you know that they have had a huge impact on everyday life and culture. Google receives about 3 million requests per year with an acceptance rate somewhere between 0.2% and 0.67%. The company was ranked number 7 on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list for 2022.

While there are myriad and varied reasons why so many people want to work for Google, the company’s perks and benefits are widely recognized as some of the best in the industry.

How to attract quality dental professionals

What can dentists model of this multi-billion dollar company that will operate in their own business?

Health insurance and 401(K) match

I’ve worked in offices that offered one, both, and neither. Taking care of your employees’ physical health and financial health can be a huge factor in creating happy and invested team members.

Free food, coffee and juice bars

While it probably isn’t feasible to offer your employees free meals every day, you could make it more of a regular treat (every other week, once a month) or as a surprise reward after the high production count from the previous day or the excellent handling of a difficult patient?

Free cooking lessons as team building exercises

My previous office scheduled a quarterly team activity and these events were monumental in building rapport between both experienced and new hires.

Some of our favorites were a zipline adventure course, an escape room, and Board & Brush.

Variety of learning and development programs

When CE returns and/or everyone feels comfortable, do you plan to bring your team to CE events?

Have you been looking for online learning opportunities for your team for the past two years? Active learning helps keep employees engaged and enthusiastic about what they do every day.

Attract quality employees with perks and benefits

Great perks and perks help attract great candidates. I hope these suggestions have been helpful.

As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
